Hi Guys/Gals, End of the month na naman. May mga unsuccessful na emails from agency and direct companies. is it true na ung mga job post may naka slot na sa position and formality na lang un?
possible na ganun nga shirlie. pero I don't think na that is always the case. Kumusta na apply nyo? May nakakuha na ba sa inyo ng work miski casual or odd job?
In my case, will undergo induction with COLES on Wednesday. Hopefully mag tuloy tuloy un. Si Axln nag-meet na kami sa Vicroads. kumuha sya ng Hazard Perception test while I took the driving test and flunk it. hehe....
@Shirlie yup, possible but wag mawalan ng pagasa. Good luck. Right now I have a casual job but not stopping on applying for a new job.
@axln try mo nlng ng sat, meron nman vicroads pag sat e. musta work sa city and Friday office parties? hehe
@hard2handle oo nga siguro pagsumahod na siguro. Good luck bro and congrats. Balitaan tyo. Kailan ba get together natin di na natuloy yung inoorganize mo.

do you think advisable ba na palitan ang position/title? may nabasa kasi akong isang article that some tends to change their designation especially for the higher ones. I am just thinking like may point kasi if you are applying for an entry level but manager ka back in the Philippines, recruitment side medyo mismatch. Any thoughts? Thank you.
@athenalady14 yup, over qualified ka pagganon so taylor fitting talaga ng resume.

axln : yeah...overqualified nga..:(..so there's no harm if I change my title to fit in to the requirements..thanks for the advise..
reference is also very important sa job hunting. in my case, tinawagan ng employer ko yung dalawang boss ko dati sa singapore. pag nagpalit kayo ng title, be careful lang baka kasi iba yung sasabihin ng reference nyo dun sa nilagay nyo sa resume.
@rolly04 has a point. If ever siguro wag masyadong malayo yung job title. Advise kasi sa akin if you are aiming for managerial role that's the time that you can highlight the managerial title but kung entry level mahirap talagang ilagay yung manager role. Better omit it or just combine it with your previous role na hindi managerial role. Medyo mahirap talagang magtaylor fit ng cv. Yung cousin kong doctor when they first got here hindi pa sila makapagpractice so they opted to work sa labour as in warehouse casual pa. My casual job is ending on Friday. Hanap-hanap ulit.
Hope everyone is safe.

@rolly04 and @axln: thanks sa advise. my other dilemma is my LinkedIn profile. Most employers also check LinkedIn profile. While I wanted to place my qualification there for the purpose of attracting possible employers, on the other hand if an employer do a check through LinkedIn and changing my titles, I think that will be a mess.

Valid for 10 yrs yung ID. Nakalagay dun sa ID yung name, address, bday at photo mo. To pass the exams, you just need 25 correct answers out of the 32 multiple choice questions.

thanks rolly04!
guys/gals, re ID, better get that drivers ID. if nakahanap na kayo ng work at hiningan kayo ng requirements may points na equivalent yan. as per my experienced lately, min 100 points required para sa australian police check.
May allowance for new arrivals re 100 points proof of ID. Not sure nga lang if 3 months or gang 6months yung window na yun. But sa experience ng wife ko, letter from bank (to show your home address), driver's licence (kahit yung Pinas) and of course yung passport and visa. Maganda narin na mag-apply na agad ng TFN para additional identification narin yun and para meron narin ready pag may work offer na.

@hard2handle, Ung special provisions is only 6wks upon arrival. 100 points na agad providing passport.
@Shirlie@hard2handle iba-iba ba per company yung 100 points ID. Yung sa pinuntahan ko kanina, pag recent arrival for non-citizen or resident (less than 3 months) -valid passport lang 100 points na.
