@chichan Subclass 572 lang po so need ko 5.5 sa IELTS. Pero tingin ko ang taas-taas nung 5.5. Hahaha. Ano po course? Saan po sa Australia?

ikaw po, ano plan mo? yung sa IELTs pala, para familiar ka sa accent try mo makinig sa mga podcast ng BBC. effective rin yung youtube videos ng Cambridge.

@Yanna, naku wala akong access sa youtube dito sa work, hehe. usually sa phone ako.
yung podcast ng BBC, try mo yung "The English We Speak"

Hi everyone I had my IELTS exam for 2 times na pero unfortunately d ko pa din ma-hit si LUCKY 7.. by October I'm planning to retake ulet, is there anybody na pwede po kong magpacheck ng writing exercises ko po? kasi puro practice ako and yet d ko pa dn maidentify kung san ako nagkakamistake..

@Yanna sure, sa writing mas ok kung meron magrereview ng essay and letter mo. Lalo na yung mga nagband 7 sa writing nila.

@Yanna Marami na tayong tips dito sa thread hehe backread lang tayo. To be frank, tama yung sinabi ni @engr_boy a few pages back - you really need a strong foundation in English to ace the exam. Now for many Filipinos who - despite the fact that we supposedly excel in business English - are not really very fluent (dahil sa Taglish tayo mas sanay, no thanks to people like Kris Aquino), the next best thing is to really immerse yourself in the language. I would say do this months prior to the test. Get used to hearing it, speaking it, reading and writing stuff in English.

May mga iilan akong tinutulungan dito sa forum. I'm doing it voluntarily and for no fee or anything in exchange because I simply want to help others when I have time, tulad ngayon hehe. Tulong ko na rin sa mga tagarito sa forum because the forum really helped me get through the visa application process.

I'm scheduled to take IELTS (general) in the first week of September!..

Question, yun wife ko kasi dependent ko, I read somewhere that she doesn't need to take IELTS but just need a certification from her school (DLSU Taft siya). Ano ba tawag dun sa hihingin sa school niya? Thanks!
