@tonti Ung mga usual na blue collar jobs boss. kahit anung part time muna basta pwede ko kinukuha ko muna habang antay pa rin ng work in line sa experience ko.

@k_mavs, ang part time sa Australia, do you just walk in and tell them you're interested? Hindi naman sila humihingi ng past work experience?

@LokiJr Di naman sila naghahanap ng experience sir. kasi nga kahit mga ganung work dito e me training din naman kaya walang problem sa kanila. Bale kasi halos madami rin pinoy dito na manager na ang mga position kaya minsan mas prefer nila mag hire din ng pinoy kasi maayos magtrabaho. Ung work ko kasi ngaun puro sinabihan lng ako ng ibang mga pinoy na na may hiring. Bilib lang talaga ko sa mga pinoy dito kasi very supportive at matulungin talaga sa mga bagong salta dito.

Yes po. Sabi sa article na nabasa ko, your cover letter is what gets the recruiter read your resume and your resume is what gets you to the interview.

@k_mavs That's good. Yan din plan ko when we go in OZ early next year. Expected ko na hindi gnun kadaling maghanap ng work na tailored sa skillset ntn, so for the meantime part time jobs muna like what are you doing, wala nmn problem yun kse may earnings pa din at nsa tao nmn yung kung paano magbudget at makakaipon.

@k_mavs I guess di lang ako sanay sa tamang concept ng part time...so meaning yung trabaho mo dyan less hours pero sapat yung market rate na binabayad sayo....dito kasi sa Pinas alam mo naman yung part time, parang full time na trabaho na kalahati lang ng suweldo haha

Yun part time po dito, ibang iba sa Pinas. Pwede ka madaming part time dito. Most moms dito ganun ginagawa para meron time para sa mga anak, saka maganda din sweldo kahit papaano. Sometimes yun mga part time / temp / casual jobs nagiging path din to permanent full time jobs kapag nagustuhan ka ng employer.

Hi. NSW po ako, Sydney. Nag-student visa din ako 10 years ago. Madali lang mag-sign up ka sa mga recruiting agency para sila na tatawag sayo if meron casual job. 20 hours per week lang po limit kapag student visa, kasi expected nila pag student visa holder ka you already have enough funds to support yourself. Pandagdag lang sa daily expense yun part time job.

Sa experience ko dati madali, mga office jobs lang trabaho ko before like data entry or office assistant. But then again, this was 10 years ago so hindi ko sure ang market ngayon, depende din sa experience and skills mo. Hope this helps.

Mga sirs/mam nasa AUS na, ask lang po, in - demand pa din ba ang Telecom Technician jobs ( fiber optics, 3G, 4G, LTE Technology etc..) ? Pwede din bang mag double job pag anjan k n? Thank you po

@razlem712, would you fall under "Radio Communications Technicians"? Nasa occupation list ng Australia kasi yun meaning hindi ka mahihirapan sa visa masyado kasi may demand naman sa ganung trabaho.

In terms of work...nasa sa inyo yun kung kaya ng katawan niyo. Most of the members here in this forum are planning to get one full time job and then a few part time jobs too

Yes sir meron po kasi mahigpit na batas dito regarding wages and employment, yun fair work australia.

Mas mataas po rates sa part time and casual. Pero sa permanent alam ko minimum wage is around AUD18.75 per hour. If mali paki-correct na lang sa mga members. Depende din sa industry mas mataas yun iba.

Hi, new member po. I'm a 25 year old Filipina, currently residing here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I have a marketing communications degree from University of Asia and the Pacific (Pasig, Philippines), however, because of the limtied job opportunities for women here in Riyadh, my professional experience is not related to my degree. I am looking into making a life in Australia sana, a lot are suggesting going through the education route. I want to pursue sana po Graphic Design.. it is not included in SOL pero included in CSOL.. gusto ko lang po malaman if anyone knows the status of the graphic design industry in AU, or if it's possible to get a PR with the profession.. I think most, if not all, of us naman po eh tinatarget ang pagkakaroon ng PR someday. I am decided po on studying again, I'm just not sure po kung anong course ang kukunin ko, gusto po sana ipursue ung Graphic Design because it's the career that I want for myself, pero iniisip ko rin po ung job opportunities in AU at ung chances of a PR with that profession. I would appreciate po any response, advise or clarifications.
