this is a general question..
kung nag-avail kayo ng PTA, may nakalagay ba na assessment on your educ qualification?

- im asking because okay lang kung kagaya ni @vhoythoy na nasa Group A at minimum educ requirement is Bachelor degree... so pag na-assess na pass ang skills, that means you met the Bachelor degree requirement and therefore can clailm for 15pts

- just like the same question ni @wizz, kung example ang minimum requirement ng occupation is Diploma, and you have a Bachelor degree from a section 1 school, will the PTA give you the result as equivalent to AU bachelor degree?

Boss @lock_code2004- Nakalagay po sa PTA kung "as comparable to the educationsl level of an Australian Bachelor's Degree".

Sa case ko po, ang required lang sa skill ko ay AQF Diploma, so sa Vetassess assessment ko po nakalagay na "is at the required level" po ang education ko. So dahil hindi ako sure if I can claim the 15 points for my degree (from a section 1 po ang school ko), I opted na isama sa PTA ang education and it was confirmed na I can claim points for it po.

@wizz Hi, minsan wala din yan sa school. Kasi ung kaibigan namin she's from UP cebu. but she was only assessed as Diploma equivalent sa AQF.

Read carefully ung binigay na assessment ng Vet din check carefull before submitting your eoi, mahirap na mag kamali.

Khit ako natatakot kasi akala ko pag degree most likely magiging equivalent na, pero hindi pala.

hi...may i ask kng cno ang ng decide na DIPLOMA lng ang friend mo from UP CEBU...is it the Assessing body or the DIAC mismo...kc ang DIAC pa rin mismo ang mgde decide kng DEGREE or DIPLOMA...thanx..

^^ on my observation very "safe" ang wordings ng vetassess. They protecting themselves as well for future problems. In my case, they listed out the past experiences na closely related sa inapply kong skillset and stating that it only based on the documents that i have submitted and they put some footnote. They made it clear na wala silang kinalaman sa veracity and not even stating that i can claim those exp for points when i lodge eoi. They will let the CO/diac to decide.

So most likely, i speculate na at most, they will only state whether your educ is comparable to oz bachelors degree or something.

I think the more accurate statement on my opinion is that DiAC has the final say and will be the "sole" decision maker on that. Vetassess roles is only to check and give their own opinion based on the documents that they received but they cant decide on their own. Its boil down to Diac's appreciation. The reason is DiAc is the sole authority and user of the documents submitted. Vetassess/other assesors main role is "to help" DIAc to decide in the case. Im doing job and issuing reports similar to assesor so i have some idea. Goodluck to all.

i think okay pa dn naman ang points ko kahit sa conservative side tayo.

@rachelle_gan2 - as far as i know...hindi naman lahat ng UP is section 1...
i think UP Cebu is section 2.. so that might be one of the reasons bakit AU diploma equivalent lang..

@Strader ang alam ko chinicheck nila yan sa prospectus ung mga subjects tska kung klan ka graduate..

Kaya kung sinabi ng assessing body na equivalent cya sa minimum required e check mabuti if ano ung equivalent. para nasa safe side lang tau..

pero sometimes kasi ung iba naman e naapprove naman.. kaya kung sure naman kau sa claim nyoj just follow kung ano ung pag kakaintindi dba..

Hahaha. Wag na natin stressin sarili natin about sa schools. Basta ako I know that school matters, so yes I believe na may factor yung school na pinangalingan mo. Yung degree talagang hindi yan automatic na degree din sa Australian standards factors to consider is ung school (section 1,2,3), professional license (if applicable) at relevance to the nominated occupation. Hanggat walang taga UST na 10pts lang naclaim nde ako mgpapaka nega na 10pts lang macclaim ko.

Category C kasi sa akin yong skill na pina assess ko which is min. Educ is diploma.. higly relevant lang naman nakalagay tapos di naman kasi ako nag pta.

Uu nga @wizz kasi sa qualifications sasabihin lang nila na the qualification is at the required level..diploma din naman kasi ang required level sa category c.. tapos nagtapos ka ng bachelor degree..

@rachelle_gan2 Community Worker pina assess ko kasi under ung community development officer in this category at sociology graduate ako..kaya sa result ng assessment ko kahit 18mos lang ung work na pina assess ko dun nagpositive at sa field of study highly relevant nakalagay..

And meron din naman pala social professionals sa vet under din ang sociology dito pero tapos na ako nagpa assess sa cw..ayaw ko na gastos na naman

.. actaully dami sana pagpilian ko welfare worker..counselor..social professional..pero ito na napili at di ako nagkamali kasi positive naman ang result.. confused lang ako kung ano dapat i.claim for education either diploma lang ba or bachelor..kasi sa ibang assessing authorities like ACS lagyan nila equivalent dun aqf diploma or bachelor sa education...diba ganun sa kanila?

if you are from section 1 school.. go claim 15 pts for Educ qualification...
wala pa yatang section 1 na 10 pts lang ang na claim for educ qual..

@lock_code2004, sir I would like to ask again,patulong po ulit. Kasi po my wife is planning na magpa assess sa Vetassess. Pero un concern po namin is un work experience nya AS HR is one (1) year and 3 months ( 05 April 2012 to present) plang un derederecho nya kasi un iba 9 mos, 6 mos taz nagreresign xa sa mga dti nya employer because may anak nga po kami.

Nabasa po kasi namin sa vetassess website as below:

Group B

Group B Occupations require a qualification which is assessed as at least at the level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation. In addition to this, the applicant must have at least one year of post-qualification employment in a field which is highly relevant and at an appropriate skill level to your nominated occupation completed in the five years before the date of application for a Skills Assessment. Pre-qualification employment may be considered.

If your qualification is not in a highly relevant field, additional years of employment will be required. Please see Group B below for details.
