Bakit? Dhl sa vetsin.

population density, and 4 seasons in a day. ;-)

Sorry, alam ko typo to. Pero naloka ako imagining the possibility of experiencing 4 seasons in a DAY! sakit ang aabutin natin niyan dre. hehehe.

I chose Australia because of proximity to the Philippines as well as familiarity with the culture since I've worked with an Australian company since 2009 and have gotten to know a number of Australians on the job.

But if it wasn't Australia, it would be somewhere else. For me, it was more of a matter of anywhere but the Philippines (and maybe North Korea, Africa, Middle East and China). hahaha!

I'm torn between AU and CAnada. Nauna na kc ang AU visa ko when I found out Canada is opening doors for IT last year. Tagal ko rin sya hinintay, 2008 pa ako nagapply sa CA as FSW then my papers was returned because they pull out IT in the category. Until I found out about AU fast processing thru my cousin who's now in Sydney. I like Canada because of its clean and green environment, proximity to US where my love of my life are residing (my nephew and niece) and cheaper commodities. What I don't like in Canada is the extreme cold, longer residency b4 citizenship I heard they're changing it from 3 to 6 yrs and lesser number of leaves mandated by govt

On the other hand, what I like in AU is the proximity to PH almost the same timezone makes me easily monitor and chat my mom @ home, laid back living as many have said but hoping that it true once I start working, more leaves so I can have vacation to PH, US and CA, less time traveling and cheaper fare tnx to cebupacific I hope they will have good service for this route, the weather not too cold and higher wage I hope so too. US is really my dream destination I got most of my relatives in the US and only few in CA but my mom prefer to stay in PH and visit whenever to US.

I won't know what's the best for me only when I get to try living on those places but I cannot get two PR all at the same time as I will soon give up one from another and will put me in a bad list for abandonment of PR.

Does anyone here have tried living in Canada and Australia and which he you prefer living in. One confused IT professional here seeking for insight. Thanks.

why dont you give it a try dito sa Oz for the meantime since on-going naman pala ang Canada mo...if hinde mo nagustuhan dito sa oz, then may option kang mag Canada... :-)

***ang masasabi ko lang e may reason kung bakit nauna ang Australian Visa mo...there is no such things as coincidence... :-)

    Why australia?

    High income, just that.

- you sure on this? highly doubt

    2. Mababango ang mga pinoy, all day everyday. Babae man o lalaki. - hasty generalization

Walang halong kaplastikan. - walang halong kaplastikan? I don't think so... In fact dahil ang mga Pilipino are not very direct with what they feel, I would say that is partly kaplastikan din.

    4. Hindi natin alam ang word na racism. - THIS IS WRONG!! Filipinos are the most racist people that I know; meron tayo adjective sa mga itim, sa mga chinese, sa mga indians. In fact there is internal racism going on din (i.e looking down upon a Bisaya...)

Even tita, tito, insan kayang bumisita sau kapag hospitalise ka.

    8. Hindi uso satin ang aged care. - aged care is not too bad I would say... at least dito, well taken cared off sila ng mga nurses, etc. malungkot lang isipin though especially sa atin Filipinos who are not used to this practice.

Bakit? Dhl sa vetsin. - try eating Thai food... :) I stopped taking in vetsin in my food since moving in Melbourne, taste better naturally and it is healthy pa.

    :)

    I don't agree with you mate... :)

Thanks.
Same here Canada will always been my first choice kesa Australia and US yung dream destination ko. I haven't been visited US and Canada so i can't say it with finality. I've supposed to move sana sa Pembroke Ontario last year kung hindi lang nagkaproblem sa LMO. Open na din this year ung accountant sa Canada pero too late. As of now, my plans is to really enjoy Australia for the next 5 years. After that, kapag Australia Citizen na ako, i will check whether kung gusto ko pa mag work sa US and/or maagapply ng PR sa Canada or just stay nalang sa Australia for good. But deep within my heart i really wanted to try living on that other side of the world hehe

    Why australia?

    High income, just that.

Other than that, sa pilipinas ko lang makikita.

    2. Mababango ang mga pinoy, all day everyday. Babae man o lalaki. - Depende na to, pero ako mabango all day everyday =)

Pero more on stereo type lalo kung hindi pa close or kilala. Pero later nagiging tropa din. Pag baduy manamit bisaya, kapag malaki katawan construction worker na bisaya, kapag babae tinatawag na katulong/ inday, actually minsan kapag panget tinatawag pang mukhang bisaya, yung mga maiitim, bumbay, etc. naririnig ko lang yan ah =)

- Hmmm. May mga schools din sa pinas na mataas ang quality of education (e.g. ateneo/up/la salle/aim) problem lang talaga eh global recognition just for me. hirap kasi magsalita ng tagalog sa ibang bansa kasi di first language nila unlike sa pinas lahat halos nakakaintindi ng tagalog.

Even tita, tito, insan kayang bumisita sau kapag hospitalise ka. - health system in pinas in general yes not good, pero may place din maayos at maganda. like sa makati med world class un, pero mahal nga lang. relatives advantages nga yan, lalo na kung close kayo sa relatives nyo.

Thats the case of my grandmother who passed away at age 87. Kaya i'm not really closing door to retire and die in pinas.Tapos, close family ties kasi at kasama mo plagi ang apo mo. Tapos pwede ka makipagchikahan sa kapit bahay, pusoy, tong its. Di kasi masyadong tanggap sa kultura natin na iiwanan nlang ang matandang parents/lolo at lola sa aged care/ home for the aged at bahala na. But ofcourse not always the case.

- Not an issue kung kasama mo buong pamilya mo mag migrate.

Nothing beats pinoy food for me. Kahit ung simpleng banana q sa labas ng bahay, pares, andoks, karinderia, razons halo halo, maxx, etc.

    :)
Here's my own opinion naman hehe

Hirap mag-agree sa mga ni-raise niyang points about Pinas...
    Why australia?

    High income, just that.

Other than that, sa pilipinas ko lang makikita.

    2. Mababango ang mga pinoy, all day everyday. Babae man o lalaki.
Walang halong kaplastikan.
Au contraire, ang mga tao sa ibang bansa ay mas straight to the point. No nonsense. Sa atin nga, madalas yung backstabbing sa workplace, pakitang-tao, being nice for the sake of pakikisama, etc.
    4. Hindi natin alam ang word na racism.
Completely beg to disagree.
Tulad ng nabanggit nina @TasBurrfoot at @vhoythoy, this won't be a problem if you migrate together with your family, or if start your own family in another country. Also, it's even better since walang traffic, you get to come home earlier and spend more time with your family. Ngayong nakabakasyon ako sa Pinas, napansin ko ito eh: aalis nang 6am just to beat the morning rush, tapos 9pm, minsan 10 o 11 na nakakauwi ang kapatid at parents ko. Asan ang quality time??
I'd pick better quality education any day over being able to gossip, makipagharutan at makipagsigawan sa classroom. Otherwise, what is the point of going to school?
I have a feeling one day you will rethink this ;)
    8. Hindi uso satin ang aged care.
The fact that it is not uso, I don't see it as a problem. It's a matter of choice for families. The services are available even in Pinas, so it's up to the family whether they want a nurse caring for their elderly.
Same as #5, not a problem if you are with family in Australia. On the other hand, dahil nabanggit mo ang init at polusyon, minus points yan sa Pinas.
Bakit? Dhl sa vetsin.

    :)
Not sure how vetsin in food is meant to be a plus point... I would thin otherwise. Healthier pa because you know exactly what goes in your meal.

@vhoythoy @dhey_almighty salamat mga bro sa mga sinabi nyu! as for now what I'm heading is precisely to AU first and see if things will work out. Just enjoy what AU can offer and always looking forward to go home and work hard para may pera mauwi kay mader and pamangkin.

Actually I haven't been to AU and I don't have any idea what AU does look like, been to US many times to be with family but never been to Canada. I always know Canada is more beautiful than US because of its lash greenery atmosphere but I really don't like the cold winter they have. US winter is already harsh for me much more if I were in CAnada delubyo lamig daw but just as my relative told me you'll get use to it.

For me nothing beats Pinas, but have to leave and try living to other place where it can give me security and financial stability in the future not only for me but also to my family. Once I got my citizenship in AU I would thiink if I have chance to stay in US or go back to PH for a short break and head wherever God wants me to be.

Hope all our endeavors are also the plans of God for us.

Sa Canada first choice ko is Vancouver (glass city) then Toronto then Montreal. Ang ganda ng rocky mountains nila bandang alberta yata un, and ofcourse malapit sa US. So far nakarating na ako sa Melbourne and the place is very nice and vibrant. No problem for me spending several years living there besides it was chosen as the #1 most liveable city in the world for the 4th time hehehe. I am also looking forward to work/live in Sydney. Basta for the next 5 years its all about Australia for me. I will see what happens after that.

That's another way to know the person. Explore yourself and be friendly. It will improve your confidence and local English speaking. Be a good boy Mayt... :D
