@catch22 thank you! made me smile this morning. di kase ako makareview before work sobrang antok. i think i did better in the second speaking test last night. retell lecture un mejo challenging, i took notes, but when i try to retell, kinukulang ako sa oras. parang 4-5 sentences should be enough? madami un nasa notes usually so summarize ko cguro.
may further tips po ba dito sa retell lecture?

pen/marker and laminated notepad. make sure to test it kasi minsan natutuyuan ng tint.

Sa tingin ko bro accepted na rin ang PTE A ng AHPRA para sa mga mag bbridging. Hindi ko ma copy yung link dito eh, pero try to google "PTE Academic AHPRA" tapos yung unang lalabas na naka PDF, andun nakalagay na need 65 each band and 65 overall for PTE academic.

Test takers can request a rescore as mentioned in this link http://pearsonpte.com/faqs/, but what are the chances of getting a positive remarking result?

hi guys, Its my time to give back

first of all maraming salamat sa mga taong super generous na magshare ng mga experiences and techniques nila sa exam, I learned a lot! eto naman ang experience ko. 2 months ako nagprepare then yung mock test ko hindi maganda yung result so yung unang pinabook ko na exam pinareschedule ko. naging 3 months yung preparation ko. first time ko magenglish exam then i chose this kasi nung nagresearch ako nalaman ko na ang ielts ay ginawa ng business ng mga test centers. I use the blue book na official guide in PTE academic, at bumili ako ng mock test yung Gold kit.

i only need 65 overall and each sub-test but i fortunately achieved 77

ito ang maipapayo ko:
-magdasal, at humingi ng guidance at strength kay LG, at JC. then alot atleast 2 hours a day para magreview. CONFIDENCE! kahit na hindi nyo na alam ang sasabihin, tandaan palagi computer lang yan at hind tao na alam na wala nang kwenta yung sinasabi natin. pretend na as if youre very smart and you know everything that youre talkin about.

-practice, practice,practice! para akong reporter nung nagbabasa, ang katapat ko ay chinese and nakakadistract talaga kasi ang lakas ng boses then ang bilis magsalita. since nagpractice ako kasama ng mga alaga kong aso na tahol ng tahol at kasama ko sa bahay na nanonood ng TV nasanay ako. take not that in every end of the sentence comma or dot, ang tone of voice is lower. if important key words, give emphasis so medyo mataas ang tono dito. usually i only consume 27-30 sec tuloy tuloy at smooth lang ang basa.

The graphical/linear representation depicts that:(elaborate what you can see on the screen) x-axis represent, y axis represent or it is subdivided into different portion pag pie chart. Therefore as a conclusion(summarize), As an implication a further critical analysis and additional research is needed to widen the range of the study. power words din, plummeting, trend, stable, peak, recover, proportional, proliferation hehehe, just carry on, paulit ulit yan if graph ang lalabas, minsan iniiba ko din pero ganun parin ang pattern. I almost got perfect score sa vocab kasi i followed yung pearson academic word list. lagi kong binabasa basa. meron din akong script pag picture na. ( nung sinabi nung proctor na you can start na, nagsulat ako ng script ko, even na memorize ko na iba na ang feeling pag kabado baka mamental block so nagsulat ako ng script ng mabilisan para may babasahin na ako bago ko clinict na im ready for the exam)
Re-tell lecture
write as much words na included na narinig mo sa lecture, focus sa feeling or mood as well at alamin kung ang purpose ba ng speaker is to inform, persuade or make an argument. i find this effective kesa na imbentuhin ko ang sasabihin ko i focus on retelling all the words in the lecture hindi naman as in ulitin mo, but make sure you say the keywords. gumawa ng sentences pero pilitin isingit ang keywoards from the lecture especially difficult words.
Repeat sentence
-mas madali ito kesa sa mock test, nilagay ko yung first letter ng words. at may additional para mas mainitindihan ko if super haba like, b4-before, ex-exam, atbp. madedevelop nyo yan sa practice nyo. magsalita if nakita nyo na may recording na at green. kasi jan ako nadadali sa mock test. if hindi pa green hindi marerecognize ang boses nyo. at wag nang magpatumpik tumpik kasi after 3 sec magcloclose na ang recording. i tried to imitate yung boses nung speaker, kung maarte ang nagsasalita, inartehan ko din, kung matanda hindi ko kayang matanda so binagalan ko lang. hahaha. seriously, para kunwari na native speaker ka gayahin mo yung pananalita nila.
Answer Short questions
sagutin lang at magsalita pag recording na at may green.

Reading:
kaya nyo na toh basta kunin lang ang keywords.basahin maigi ang directions, pag sinabing isang sagot lang isa lang, if more than one, tandaan ito ay right minus wrong so if hindi sure wag na irisk just make sure atleast 1 answer sure tama. then collocations. may word list din ang pearson about collocations thousand words na if binasa mo once mareretain na yan sayo na if nakita mo ay academic: coursework na ang sagot or critical:analysis na yan.
parang twin words, then, sa arrange sentence hanapin and first sentence, then sa sentence na yun may keywords ex: ay organizations then the next sentence is if may makita kang World health organization sa sentence yun na yun. Verb tense agreement ay importante din.

Writing
write as much academic word as you can, synonym lang guys, kunwari ang essay topic ay travel: isingit mo ang mga words about travelling ex. itinerary, airplane, bus, car, train, tram, fly, boat, air, land, water, countries etc,. Use passive sentence dont use I, me, my, kasi ang academic writing is generalization hindi yung ikaw lang. base on fact, base on research. kahit na sabihin pa to what extent` do you disapprove. A firm disapproval is considered base on blah blah. pag sinabing degree or extent keywords again na firm, level, little, some,few, Wag uulit ng words kasi redundant na. summarize the paragraph in 1 sentence, get all the keywords sa paragraph, use comma, conjunctions, subordinates. isang dot lang sa dulo. wag nang pahirapan ang sarili na magconstruct ng kakaibang summary. nandun na sa paragraph ang summary all you need to do is to construct a sentence using mga keywoards na nasa paragraph.

listening
mejo nadalian na ako dito, kayang kaya na ito if nakikinig ka sa mga news na may british, aussie, american accents. hindi maiiwasan na manghula pero make a wise guess ika nga. use mouse to follow the words sa highlight wrong words.

if hindi ko ito nakita pati yung expat forum hindi ko maachieve itong score ko, kasi you really need the technique at practice, once na alam nyo na ang flow at sinundan nyo yung pattern or yung guidlines on achieving the score, possible talaga na maipasa nyo itong test na ito. thank you @filipinacpa at sa iba pa! sana mas marami pang pinoy na makapasa at makamigrate dito sa australia. Goodluck sa mga mageexam! PS get some difficult words in the dictionary at practisin na gamitin sa sentence at imemorize. this works for me, however case to case basis parin, so kung saan kayo mas comfortable stick to it at idevelop nalang ang test taking strategies na will work for you,

So PTE Academic ay pwede pala instead of IELTS? Generally what's the advantage of this compared with IELTS for visa 189/190? balak kasi apply officemate ni misis and naghahanap ng alternative

Hi guys! It's my first time posting as well, but I have been lurking in this thread for quite some time already. I want to thank every single one of you who shared a bit of their experience and try helping out others! I took IELTS thrice hoping to get at least an 8 in all subsections, but in all instances I was always given 7.5 for writing. I learned about PTE-A through this forum, and, with all your positive feedbacks about it, I decided to give it a try.

I took the exam last Friday, 25 September. I got the result yesterday:
LRSW - 89/87/89/90

@filipinacpa atbp. have already given all the tips necessary to get your target scores. The only thing that I can add on top of that is to be resilient during your revisions. AND REMEMBER...FOCUS IS THE KEY!!!!
