Thank you so much @ylai, i've read the link above and found out that its a scam. It was very suspicious when they ask me to visit their website and do the payment first, then asked me about credit card/debit card info, but luckily i don't have cc, but i told her i couldn't give her any information about my debit card. After that she emailed me,asking me to complete the payment, etc.. Thanks so much for the reply. I'll be more careful now.

may mapapasukan naman dito basta tyga lang halos may ma aapplyan nman sa lahat ng state but also it depend on you work experience.. mas madali makahanap ng work kapag may local experience ka na dito.

    Goodluck

Bakit Australia? All public toilet are free to use. Mostly each water closet cubicle has toilet tissue. There's also toilet sink with single or mostly double-spout tap water (hot & cold). Mostly may hand tissue or hand dryer ang mga public toilet dito.

This one I had a long discussion with a colleague today...

Australia is at 5.2% while the Philippines is 7.1%...partida pa yan at mas marami population natin kaysa sa buong Australia hehe.

As a migrant, you are expected to have worked a long while (like sir Totoy mentioned, 3-4years) before thinking of migrating...otherwise, mahihirapan ka nga makakuha ng trabaho...Pero kung proficient ka sa English, bata ka pa at maganda ang work experience mo, hindi mahirap makakuha ng trabaho dun :)

Another thing to like about Australia is that fresh produce, dairy products and the environment...Maganda sa kalusugan lahat yan :)

Pag mahilig ka mag bike all roads has bike lane kaya safe. cheers

Hi, noob lang and my first post. Here's my opinion kung bakit Aus:
    Australia pros
    1. Employment - in my opinion madaling makahanap ng trabaho (generally) and mas malaki ang minimum compare to canada. And most of all, skillset and experience naka match sa trabaho mu (no need aussie exp.)
    2. Mura ang white goods (electronics, computer, etc.) pwde mu pang tawaran.
    3. Madaling bumili ng gold bars/bullion gold coins or silver bars/bullion/coins for investment. You can sell it here in Aus pero maliit lang ang profit. ang advise sa akin is to sell outside Aus.
    4. Laid back ang trabaho at ang environment. work life balance. relax life style.
Mura pamasahe mag travel interstate brisbane, melbourne, sydney.
    6. Weather is great parang pinas minus humidity. Winter kahit light jacket lang. Summer, maraming naka mini skirt.
    7. Malapit sa pinas, may direct flight ang qantas from darwin to naia 8hrs lng.

    Australia cons
    1. Sobrang taas ng cost of living. $100/week budget grocery sa woollies or coles.
    2. prices of property are ridiculously expensive.
    3. Madaming lasengo dito. Kahit nga mga meeting sa tanghali or hapon nag-seserve sila ng alak or beer. Well, sa mga mganginginom ok dito.
    4. Security is not so much safe - uso mga scams, mga lasengo dito nanggugulo, vandalism pero mas safe compared sa pinas.
Magastos magkasakit. You need to apply for private health insurance tapos limited din ang benefits (hindi ito optional, required ito pag wla kang private health i-tatax ka ng govt.)
    6. Mataas ang tax, tapos meron pang bagong carbon tax na i-implement starting next financial year, lalo pang tataas ang cost of living.
Well, it better pa rin compare sa pinas.
9.Right hand drive, left side of the road.

    2. prices of property are ridiculously expensive.

mahal nga pero affordable pa rin

    3. Madaming lasengo dito. Kahit nga mga meeting sa tanghali or hapon nag-seserve sila ng alak or beer. Well, sa mga mganginginom ok dito.

    dipende sa lugar.

    4. Security is not so much safe - uso mga scams, mga lasengo dito nanggugulo, vandalism pero mas safe compared sa pinas.

dipende sa lugar mas safe pa rin dito kaysa US.

Magastos magkasakit.

Well, it better pa rin compare sa pinas.

9.Right hand drive, left side of the road.

    okay naman kahit right hand.

    2. prices of property are ridiculously expensive.

9.Right hand drive, left side of the road.

@Davidx23 maraming salamat sa inputs!... pros & cons parehong helpful info... pros what you'll look forward and cons kung ano mga kailangan mo paghandaan pagdating mo dun.

Regarding cost of living...I think it's just fair...it's a first world country after all and you get to see the effects of the taxes you pay.

Plus the pay is significantly higher in Australia so tama lang na mas mahal dun :)

I was in Toronto previously and applied an immigrant visa both here in aus and in canada. Both visas were granted at the same time but I chose to be here because of the pros I've listed.

To compare sa canada, eto yung mga pros and cons.
    Canada pros
    1. Standard of living is not expensive. Grocery for 2 ppl $80 at "no frills grocery" good for 2-3 weeks (puno ang isang cart). $100 unlimited ttc travel card for 1 month (bus, train, tram). $100-120 for communications expenses (go with combo deals like internet+cable+mobile phone). Most take-out food not expensive either $5-10 per meal per person.
    2. Lot's of places to travel - US is just accross pwde mag bus pa US if nagtitipid sa flights. Madali kumuha ng us visitor visa pag nasa canada na.
    3. Property is cheap.
    4. Medicare is top notch - lalo na pag may employee benefit kang private health insurance. Good for retirement.
    5. Malaki ang filipino community.
    6. May Phil National Bank and I think there's a goldilocks somewhere at westcoast area pero wla dun sa Toronto (where I was previously).
    7. Masarap sa winter kasi kahit hindi ka maligo for 1 month hindi ka mangangamoy =) Also, hindi mu kailangan mag-iron kasi naka sweater and winter jacket ka madalas (tipid sa oras). Mabilis magpapayat pag winter kasi yung chilling effect sa katawan nangangailangan ng maraming calories to burn basta excercise lang kahit light in 30minutes/day.
    8. Some companies have unlimited paid sick leaves.
    9. In toronto, mix race, people are very respectful to one another, generally safe (just avoid the east bloor area if you're in toronto).
10.Internet is superfast at 8Megabyte per second not 8 megabit per second.

    Canada cons
    1. Mahirap mag hanap ng work. Advise for those going there on immigration visa, generally companies are very discriminate on hiring, they prefer a 'Canadian experience' worker. Kahit may 10yr experience ka with mba pero kalaban mu may 1 year canadian experience talo ka. Kaya minsan makikita mu sa mga ads for example an indian with doctoral degree is driving a taxi cab kasi gawa ng discrimination.
    2. Snow - it's so annoying lalo na kapag nilalagyan nila ng rock salt yung kalsada to melt the ice, mabilis maka-sira ng sapatos, dyahe kasi magpalit ng snow boots at normal shoes eh. You need so many layers of clothing, pag naka thermal undies ka sobrang init naman pag nasa opisina. Nakakatamad lumabas pag winter.
    5. Ayoko mag tip pero culture na nila. Sensya na cheap kc ako.
    8. some companies have US management style of practice (slave drivers)
    9. Sweldo - don't expect too much esp. if you're just starting.

Pinoys there can travel back and forth as often as twice a year, because round trip flights can cost as low as $150-199 each (Jetstar sales) including taxes. Cheaper than flights to Sydney from Darwin. Also easy to get jobs there and buy a house. Residents get very generous govt subsidies and benefits. I'm based in Sydney but have family in Darwin.

Napansin ko nga po...from Philippines to any part of Australia, mas mura ang airfare kung dadaan sa Darwin :)

Kumusta po ang klima sa Darwin? Di po ba sobrang init?

Wala namang age limit ang medicare. Ang requirements lang:
    -hold Australian citizenship
-have been issued with a permanent visa
    -hold New Zealand citizenship
-have applied for a permanent visa
