@sohc , salamat sir, un nga eh sa mga websites na tinitingnan ko walang ganyan na range ng house sa Melbourne, pinakamababa $350 tapos meron pang 1 month bond, wasak! haha.

by the way, question lng. lets say a couple is earning around 1.1M annual each. tapos ung isa under the 15% tax. and ung isa din merong retirement na 6%. and apart from these, may bonus na 10-14 % ng annual salary every year. may anak sila na isa pero baby pa lng. should they still consider leaving the phils for AU? :-) both are IT consultants and are up for promotion... napaka-hypothetical ng example. hehehe

Yes. There may not be much to gain financially, pero ang buhay kasi is more than just money - it's a big part of it, pero ika nga ng mastercard, may mga bagay na priceless - like quality of life.. Though lagi kong nababasa na mahal ang cost of living sa australia, isipin din natin na you are getting what you pay for... I'd rather spend a premium on a good life than magtipid pero hindi mo alam kung kelan ka ma-a-akyat bahay, ma-a-araro ng truck na nawalan ng preno sa C5 or ng killerbus na minamaneho ng adik sa edsa... Even for your kids, you wont have to worry about them that much growing up kung wala bang umaaligid na masamang elemento sa kanila sa school and all - and at the same time, they will grow up priviledged with the world at their fingertips, which would give them an advantage in terms of career opportunities in the future than say kids who grew up sa pinas...

Don't get me wrong, mahal ko ang Pinas, maybe even more than half of the population does - sad to say nga lang, I don't think Pinas loves me the same way and by Pinas I mean the people who most of are just thinking of how they can one-up other people, mula sa pagsingit sa pila, bara barang pagmamaneho, hanggang sa pangungurakot sa gobyerno... hayyy...

@lokiJR which is actually bad din for them hehhe kase pag masyadong marami ding matatanda sa population, yung mga bata na skilled na lang bubuhay sa knila. hehhe Tinanong to sa isang sample Writing Exam Task 2. hahhahha Well ganon raw tlga pag advanced/first world countries, ang tendency ng mga tao is not to over-populate to get a higher quality of life, which is the exact opposite of what we have in the Phils. hehhe kaya maraming so-called allowances from centrelink/baby bonus, childcare subsidy etc para maencourage mga Australians magbuild ng family. hihi

kasi dito libre ang pagpapa check up sa public hospital pati mga operation kapag may medicare. pag may health issue may regular na check up every six month. Affordable din ang vacine. The government also support health services malaki ang annual budget. Madami din health program ang government and private sector.

before pala magpa check up sa Public hospital. Pupunta muna sa GP Doctor (general practitioner) Kapag may nakita na matagalan na gamutan staka pa lang mag re-referral ang GP sa Public hospital.

Kapag may private health insurance magagamit yun sa mga private health clinic and hospital. halos Parehas din ang quality services ng Government and Private Hospital.

usually sa mga causcasian yung ibang migrant hindi nangpapansin hahaha...

minsan they say "how you doin" :have a good day" "Good morning".

sometimes kahit gabi na mag tataka ka... sasabihin "have a good day'

sa mga services very polite sila.

dito naman walang naghihintay ng tip kapag sa mga services tulad ng massage, taxi at iba pa. kaya kung anu lang yung bills mo yun lang babayaran mo.

ang maganda nyan minsan may kasalubong ka maganda maya ngingitian ka... lalo na yung mga nag ja-jogging...

minsan they say "how you doin" :have a good day" "Good morning".

sometimes kahit gabi na mag tataka ka... sasabihin "have a good day'

hahah.. totoo ito.. nakakaaliw nga dito sa ofc namin .. kahit ilang beses mo masalubong babatiin ka palagi ng "how are you doin?"... sa isip ko tuloy eh sinagot na kita knina..
anyway sinasagot ko pa rin kht na awkward sa pakiramdam ko..

ah okay.. yeah in US mahirap din makakuha ng Permanent resident at lalo na citizenship ... compare in Australia kapag permanent resident kana in 4 years time puede kana mag apply ng citizenship. katulad ko naman 457 dati counted na yun from the start na nandito ako. basta maka one yea lang ako na PR 4 yers na ako this late year kaya puede na ako maging citizen. kukunin ko dual citizenship. Ang laki din ng privileged kung Australian Citizen theres a country that you dont need visa to travel kung tourist. At kung mag work ka rin abroad and you hold australian passport you get the same level of the salary in other english country expat. Maganda din ang quality education dito credited in international institution.
Mabuti din you try to apply in Australia because the economy is very stable.

they really mean it. sometimes pag close naman kayu ng engineer at lagi naman kayu nagbibiruan puede minsan biro lang din but most of the pag good ginawa mo they always say that. minsan they say "well done" "amazing" " beautiful" "great" mga papuri yan na ginwa mong maganda.
