Out of the 164 countries, 7th ang Australia sa best place to be a mother rankings :)
On the other hand, 95th ang ranking ng Pinas sa parehong study hehe (talo pa tayo ng Iran!)

Wow someone from Canada said that? Usually it's a toss up between Canada and Australia..and in the former's case, it's the language and extreme temperature that is the problem hehe

Parang more of gadget, food and banking to. I think mas ok din SG dito except maybe the #7 kung wala kang medicare or sagot mo gastos but Healthcare in SG is great. Well its a toss up between Canada and Australia, but for me i choose Australia nalang kasi over Canada dahil base sa nababasa at nakwento sa akin,

More outgoing daw ang tao, mas malaki mag pasweldo in general, mas recognised ang Overseas qualifications and experience, mas laid back at mas madali mag process ng visa =)

Sa pinas daming bagay na take for granted mostly priceless.

Yep, this is true. People I've known here have been to europe and US, siguro malakas ang purchasing power ng aussie dollar. Compared sa canadian parang kuntento na sila sa canada and US.

Mas malaki sweldo kasi malaki/mataas ang cost of living. Lunch nga dito eh $15 isang subway at softdrinks, pag sa mga rural areas fish and chips $25 wala pang sauce.

Laidback - yan ang the best (except Sydney - parang atmosphere pa lang na stress na ko, no offense sa mga taga sydney, bukid lang kasi brissy).

1 train ride from work to home
    6 nakauwi nako
    free fruits every monday
    may libreng beer every friday

that's pretty laid back to me... so I wonder what is the definition of laid back in other state?

Cge, dito yung lagay ko is 20min travel door (ng bahay) to door (ng opis) via bus. Mall is 2 blocks from my apartment.

Sa previous work ko meron fresh fruits every day sa umaga. Saging yung unang nauubos sa cart.
may beer/wine every meeting mga twice a month. Flexi hours pero 7.5 hrs din. 7.5/32.5hrs a week is standard working hours. Work sa bahay, pwede. Pagpatak ng 4 uwian na!

Don't get me wrong, maganda sa Sydney. Maraming shops, restaurant, entertainment.

I read in the news over the weekend that the Australian government is on its way to meeting that budget surplus target. That means the economy is indeed headed the right direction!

Hehe. Sir @icebreaker1928 makikisingit po ako sa tanong nyo. Nagtuturo po kc ako ng Econ at most of the time, investopedia (ooops, pwede po ba ako magmention ng name ng ibang website?) ang takbuhan ko para sa explanation na madaling maunawaan lalo na pag Singlish ang mga kaharap mo. Hehe. Eto po galing kay investopedia:

    Budget Surplus
A situation in which income exceeds expenditures. The term "budget surplus" is most commonly used to refer to the financial situations of governments; individuals speak of "savings" rather than a "budget surplus." A surplus is considered a sign that government is being run efficiently. A budget surplus might be used to pay off debt, save for the future, or to make a desired purchase that has been delayed. A city government that had a surplus might use the money to make improvements to a run-down park, for example.

    cheers
