Parang masyado kulang yung 1month+. Salamat po.

I am not sure how pero pwede naman pong touchdown muna kayo sa Australia. like a week or two na vacation then balik uli kung san kayo nagwowork then settle everything that you need. mahalaga makapasok kayo within the specified first entry date.

suggestion ko lang naman po. hehe

Noted po. Yan nalng siguro gagawin namin kung wala talaga option magrequest for first entry extension. Salamat po.

Super thankful sa thread na to. Napaka informative for us na may 5 months pa til #bigmove. Ang dami pala din need asikasuhin like medical insurance, house hunting and job hunting not to mention yung actual na pag lilipat (we're moving from sg).

We're planning to rent airbnb muna for 2-4 weeks while maghanap ng job and house. Sasama din daw parents ko as tourists to help us settle in (sabay gala na daw) haha. But really, sabi nila at least daw makatulong sila to look after our son while busy kami ng husband ko naglilipat and all.

Curious lang po, anyone here na nag big move with a toddler? Baka naman may tips kayo mag momshies & papshies haha.

Hi! Share ko lang experience namin sa Bank Account Opening - We arrived here in Melbourne Monday (Feb 28). My husband already signed up using CommBank prior to our arrival. When we went to his bank Tuesday, he still needed to go back Friday because the branch can't accommodate him. Comes Friday, we still need to wait for 2 weeks for his ATM card to be delivered. Ako naman I tried walk in sa NAB same Tuesday, I waited more than an hour since I don’t have an appointment and it was already after lunch time but I got my account online same day. I went back the week after to claim my NAB ATM card. So hindi pala mas mabilis sa CommBank based sa experience namin.

Tagal din pala ng Commbank. May mga stories kasi before na dito nagsignup na sila then pagdating sa Australia nakuha na nila kaagad on the same day yung ATM. Mukhang iba iba talaga.

Ours was one week after verification. Pero we were able to use the account to pay kasi may cardless card ung commbank tru your phone app.

so technically po if plan mo magopen ng bank account, dapat 1-2 weeks ka sa Australia para makukuha mo yung actual card? or you can tell them for example na you will leave din para they can do something po? Thanks!

SA Commbank po yan no? So basically I can use the online banking even without the physical card? Goal ko lang din naman is to open an account so I can send money na rin paunti unti. hehe. Thanks!

If sa SLMC ka, photocopy din ng passport at original and photocopy of vaccination card. Kung may xray ka the last 6 months, bring it. And if you have ongoing medical conditions and medication, bring a medical certificate.

Ang reco ko lang dito is to ensure you leave your current company on good terms with your boss. Possible kasi na when you apply for your first job here na related sa work experience mo, irequest ng HR na yung immediate ex-boss mo ang isa sa references. This happened to me and buti na lang magkasundo kami ng ex-boss ko kasi mahaba-haba at open ended ang questionnaire na pinadala sa kanya as part of my reference check.

Question lang po. As PR po ba, how long can we be outside Australia? Is it like the US po ba na every 6 months dapat babalik ka ng US to keep the residency?

    1. Isama sa cover letter na magaalaga sila ng bata and yung reason, then kayo magsponsor ng lahat ng needs niya. Very important ito.
    2. Gawan niyo rin ng itinenary yung gagawin nila dyan like tourist spots etc

what do you mean sponsor? For a visa? They can only apply for a tourist visa as far as I know, walang nanny or carer visa sa Aus.

Your cousin can apply for a tourist visa but she needs to prove that she will go back at the end of her holiday & that she won't work while she's here. Otherwise, she needs to apply for a skilled immigrant visa as well, if she is able to meet the requirements. There is a carer visa but it is only for relatives of people with long-term, serious medical conditions.

    1. Isama sa cover letter na magaalaga sila ng bata and yung reason, then kayo magsponsor ng lahat ng needs niya. Very important ito.
    2. Gawan niyo rin ng itinenary yung gagawin nila dyan like tourist spots etc

    • bank statements
    • visa from other countries (if any)
    • passport pic
    • invitation letter from friend in au (to show na mag t.tourist tlga sila and not samahan kami)
    • travel itinerary
    • passport
    • valid ID

May nabasa kasi ako yung tourist visa sponsored stream hehehe..

Double check the DHA page, but AFAIK you must be a settled AU resident to sponsor a tourist visa. So need to have been living here for at least 2 years I think. They can still apply for a tourist visa, yung hindi sponsored.
