Guys, might be a helpful tip: If may LinkedIn kayo and waiting na kayo ng grant, try to change your location sa state that you'll move into. I did that and I've been getting leads. Transparent lang ako na waiting ako sa grant so can't proceed with the application, but the recruiters I've connected with so far have all offered na I reach out when I get my visa/land so they can help me out.

Not sure lang if this applies to all industries (FYI I am in technology) but good way to network. :)

Same here!

Thank you @era222 dito sobrang useful.

Hello, good day! Question po sana sa mga na-grant na and ni-require din po ng police clearance from Japan or from other countries. We are waiting po for Visa 190 VIC Grant. Japan embassy requires a request letter from the Australian embassy bago daw po kami makapagrequest ng police clearance para sa hubby ko (dependent). Kaya we had to submit muna ung application and wait for the request ng case officer. Fortunately, we receive the request this May 1, 2023 for the Japan police clearance and we are scheduled this Friday sa Japan embassy.

Since it will take 2-3 months para mareceive namin ung japan police clearance upon request, may case na po ba na na-grant ung visa kahit na receipt lang or proof na in-process na ung police clearance ang i-attach sa Immiaccount? OR need talaga nung police clearance bago maibigay ung grant?

Thank you po sa mga sasagot and magshare ng experience nila!

Hindi po nagagrant or i haven't heard someone na nagrant na hindi finalised ung police clearance. They will wait for you to provide it saka lang nila iaassess or grant ung application niyo. Same goes with medicals, they will for you to clear it bago magbigay ng decision.

@wandergorl @jammyness , welcome to Melbourne. if may questions kayo, let me know.

To add from @era222 tips about Job search. Cover letter makes a difference, it's the best way to express your work ethic and passion. You can also put your visa status sa header ng CV sa job hunting nyo, once may AU companies na kayo sa work history, you can remove it na.

And for interviews, I noticed, based on my experience, If australian ang nag interview, more on qualities/behavioral ang flow ng interview, STAR method, and how you will fit into the team, etc. And if ibang lahi, lalo na pag indian, ang highly technical ng mga questions.

Covers pre-departure to getting settled to managing your visa (as an anxious person na solo flight sa migration lol). Note, lahat ng info dito ay checked as of May 2023 and will continue to update it until it's my turn to make the move. Hindi 'to replacement for official links/information, these are just based on my own research — so if in doubt, double-check/ask pa rin as this doesn't have all the answers :)

Thank you @era222 dito sobrang useful.

I think. Unang una naghanap tlaga kami house na about kaya. Dito luto tlaga and baon si Mister at anak.

If gusto niyo branded na goods, go to DFO Homebush (outlets ng mga branded or local Aussie brand) or Birkenhead Outlet Fivedock maganda bigayan. Wait for big sales like Black Friday sale and Boxing Day. Expect the queue is mahaba pero grabe sales. For gadgets or appliances, JB hifi, Harvey Norman, Good Guys, Mydeal, and Binglee and Kogan. Opt out to using AfterPay, Klarna or Latitude naman for Commbank pero hinay2 lang as gastos nakakaadik lol.. 😆

Depends sa agreement with the pinoy. Kaya take a picture para madocument mo kung ano nasa property. Kasi pag may nasira or stain, definitely ibabawas sa deposit mo.
