Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me out because I am having difficulty if I will pursue my application in Australia or not since my present job is not listed on SOL.

My job experience:
Broadcast Engineer -- November 2007-present
Telecommunications Engineer -- May 2003– November 2007
Optical System Engineer -- June 1997–April 2003

Btw, I am a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering so I am considering Telecommunications Engineer (263311) since ito ang nasa SOL and ito ang previous position/job ko pero ang worry ko sa qualification ng DIAC nkasulat don na “you must have worked for 12 months in the last 24 months in any occupation on the applicable sole”. 2007 pa kasi ako nag-work as Telecommunications Engineer, does it mean I am not qualified to nominate this job? Medyo naiba kc un job description ko as Broadcast Engineer sa Telecommunications Engineer. Please advise.

1. kung magpapa-assess po ba sa EA, may specific overall band score ba sila sa IELTS bago nila i-assess mga docs mo?
2. Kung meron ka ng State Sponsorship, kailangan ba na ma-meet pa rin ang 65pts bago ka makapag-lodge sa DIAC?
3. may mga alam po ba kayong agency dito sa Singapore na nagbibigay ng free assessment?

Ma'am ask ko lang tungkol sa COE. Kasi yung COE ko yung standard lang yun lang kasi binibigay ng company. Kapag sinamahan ko ba sya ng testimonial letter na signed ng manager ko ngayun with complete job description e pepede na kaya iyon i submit kahit wala ng statutory declaration.

Hi Adelle,

Yes, you can use a statutory declaration but you have to support it with other documents like contract (which sometimes have the roles and responsibilities of an employee), payslips, or any employment records you have.

I can send you a template tonight. That's for closed companies but it's easy to modify based on your need.

I already compiled all my documents for Engineer's australia assessment except for one. Kasi current company ko dito sa UAE is not giving me an employment certificate as per the format required ng EA they can only provide employment certificate as per company policy daw may job title but without the job description.

In this regard, how can i proceed? is it ok I will make statutory declaration for this case? Can any one help me and send me a specimen copy to my email [email protected]

I'm also an ECE like you. I was assessed as a Telecommunications engineer cause i work in a TELCO company. I think that if you are a broadcast engineer and operates and maintain electronic equipments, you may have a chance to fall on either Electronics engineer or telecommunications engineer category.Medyo broad kasi yung coverage ng course na natapos natin. Tignan no rin sa yung mga scope of work of a Electronics engineer or telecommunications engineer sa DIAC work category dun makikita mo ung pasok yung current job mo ngaun. But i think pasok naman yung line of work mo ngayon as broadcast engineer sa 263311. tignan mo din to para sure ka. http://www.acacia-au.com/anzsco/263311.php

Or just PM me if you need an advice from a migration agent. Free assessment naman kasi yung sa kanya.

Got to act now. Parating na kasi yung July 2012 magbabago na naman sila ng rules for us wannabe migrants..

Hi Jimbob!

Eto po baka makatulong ako sa mga inquiries mo:

1. For EA or Engineers australia: I think you need to have a minimum score of 6 on all subtests.
2. Kahit na may SS ka eh you still need to satisfy the 65 pts criteria of DIAC. SS is only a way to make your Visa application processing faster.
3. My current agent is giving free assessment just PM me if you need her email so you can contact her. My agent is based on Oz while right now i'm here in the Phils. about to lodge my 475 visa.

For my COE, i just requested a copy to our HR the format and the information needed by DIAC then i also have my current job description countersigned by my manager. Engineers OZ acknowledge what i have passed them.

hi, im new to this forum. I submitted my EA last Monday and until now I have not received the acknowledgment receipt from them. Normally po ba how long should I have to wait to receive it? Nagtake din po ako ng ielts last year pa Feb 2011, ung result po sinama ko na sa EA application ko. Ok lang po ba yun?

By mail nila isesend acknowledgment receipt. Mga after a week ko na din nareceive yung sakin.

Yung IELTS result or test result form ang magpapadala nun dapat is yung testing center kung san ka nag-exam, either IDP o BC. Just go to their office and request them to send it to EA. Pwedeng regular mail, which is mura or courier na mas mabilis pero mas mahal.

Hindi kasi ina accept ni EA yung IELTS result na hindi directly si test center ang nagpadal sa kanila. SOP yata nila yun eh. 3 months ata kasi kapag pinili mo yung via mail pero ok lang naman ata yun kasi mga 16 weeks ang processing ni EA kaya lang walang tracking number pag sa mail unlike kapag courier 3-5 days lang received na nila yung ielts result mo pero mga 1,200-1,400 pesos ata yung bayad. Well goodluck sa application mo.

@k_mavs pede po bang HR na lang po ang magsign sa COE at job description at wag na ang manager? pero baka pag ginawa ko to, hindi kaya tatanungin ako ng EA since may organizational chart akong ipapasa sa kanila? tnx

Kung papayag yung HR niyo e ok lang siguro yun. Kaya lang me case na nagbabackground check daw yung EA which on my part e hindi naman sila nagtanong. Ok lang naman sa manager mo. Lakasan mo at kapalan mo lang ang mukha mo.hehe. Yung lang kasi yung ginawa ko sakin.

Close ko kasi yong HR so pede akong makapagpasign sa kanya siguro ng hindi sya nagtatanong kung para san yon. lol......i mean wala siyang paki. eh pag sa manager syempre tatanungin ako nun ng sobra etc etc..basta complicated pag sa manager.

Gandang araw po sa lahat! Tanong ko lang po kung gaano katagal yung processing pag nag-apply ako for State Sponsorship? Aabutin po ba sila ng months para mag-aaprove? I was thinking po NSW, WA or SA. Currently ongoing po assessment ko sa EA, submitted Jan wk1 (courier), hopefully positive yung result. Kasi po kung mabilis lang naman approval ng State Sponsorship, visa 176 sana target ko before Jul2012. Salamat po in advance sa tulong, and Goodluck po sa'tin lahat.

@mkapc Ok lang yun. If ever sabihin mo na lang dun sa manager mo that you are just intending to migrate abroad but hindi pa ngayon.hehe. sabihin mo lang na nagpapa assess ka lang sa isang migration agent. Ako ganun lang ginawa ko.

One reason na pwede mo ibigay pag nagtanong is meron ka inapplyan na professional membership and one of the requirements is COE with a JD. Which is requirement naman talaga if gusto mo ituloy maging EA member.

Hi @Brent! Alam ko mabilis lang processing ngayon ng applications for state sponsorship. Within a month or max na siguro 2 months. Unlike dati mga 3 months. Si @unanimous21 alam ko meron syang nakuhang sponsor na within a month lang. I-target mo na ang 176, mabilis processing nya. Within 4 weeks of lodgment, may CO ka na agad. Mag-submit ka na ng mga applications for sponsorship. Yung iba alam ko walang application fee.

@Brent, i got my WA State Sponsorship in a span of 1 week. Tapos ung sa Victoria naman less than a month. Ung Victoria, free pero ung WA me bayad na A$200 ata un. Akala ko di ako lulusot sa Victoria kaya i decided to apply sa WA after a week. aun pareho approved. Victoria pinili ko. cheers.

@JClem @k_mavs sana ganun nga lang kadali kaso i know for a fact na di sya magsa-sign. too bad. HR lang talaga ang pede kong pagpapirmahan. kaso baka kasi mag-interrogate sa akin ang EA. hays..ang hirap naman nito

Yung COE ng husband ko sa current employer nya, HR manager nila ang pumirma. Inaaccept naman pero sa ACS sya nagpa-skills assessment. Yun din pinasa namin sa DIAC. Wala pa kami updates from DIAC pero hopefully i-accept naman. Kasi yung officemate nya ganun din and na-grant naman yung visa.

@unanimous21 @JClem: wow mabilis pala ngayon. I hope it holds true regardless sa kung anong occupation meron ka. Under EA din po ba kayo? Inaaral ko na ngayon yung process para pag dumating na Assessment (sana positive), apply agad for State Sponsorship.
@mkapc: current employer ko po eh hindi rin nagbibigay ng detailed COE, ilang beses ko kinulit HR pero di daw talaga, ayoko din magsabi sa manager ko. What I did was I asked a more Senior guy from my group na medyo close ko to sign the detailed COE, along with his contact details, position, etc. tapos yun ang pinasa ko. Im crossing my fingers na sana pumasa. Meron din ako COE na in-issue ng company pero di ko na yun sinama. Update kita kung ano result.

Hi to all,

tanung ko lang po panu ung mode of payment sa EA assessment?
Meron 3 methods sa MSA booklet...sa mga nkapagpaasses na panu po ung "credit card authorization" or ung money order ? Anu ung pinaka-madali? (meron kami credit card).

@sana_abot_pa Meron ka pong form na kailangan i-fill up para sa credit card.Nandun rin yun sa booklet sa mga forms. Madali na kasi pag sa credit card lang.
