Hi! I'm confused about whether to apply or not. I'm still single and I don't know have any relative or friend in Australia...is it advisable to migrate there alone? Any idea, what kind of life would it be for a single person migrating there?

Hi @gemini23, what's your reason of picking Australia instead of other countries? From there, check if you really want to migrate. Hindi rin kasi biro ang pag-migrate. You'll start from scratch! Even though some of us might have relatives there, you still have to stand on your own and make your name.

So isipin mo mabuti kung bket mo gsto mag-migrate. :) Kung ano man ang sagot mo, it will be your motivation to apply for an AU Visa.

Hi! Whether you are kidding or not, thanks for the attention. I'm not afraid of going to Australia just because I'm single....I'm just looking for good reasons to migrate there. I'm currently working outside the Philippines, I can say I'm making a good living here, I'm just thinking if it's worth to take the risk of moving from one country where I'm already comfortable to another country which is totally new for me. It's like starting from the scratch again if ever.

@gemini23, May we ask where you are working right now? Of course people here will encourage you to move to Australia so to ease your concerns, it's always a good idea to migrate from a Third World Country (i.e. Philippines) to an Advanced Economy (i.e. Australia) if you are willing to live in unfamiliar lands. Advanced countries enjoy better pay, government benefits and over-all community life.

So if you are already in one of these first world countries, then I would like to think, you are fine where you are right now. Baka hindi niyo pa po nakikita ang konkretong dahilan para kayo pumunta Australia so take your time :)

Thank you to all your feed backs...I'm currently working in Indonesia. As a teacher here, the salary is not that high but the cost of living here is quite low so it works fine for me. Btw, where can I take free immigration skill assessment?

Yung skills assessment (ACS, VETASSESS etc) actually yung pinakamahal sa requirements bago kayo makakapagpasa ng visa lodging. VETASSESS nasa 30k pesos ata.

Is it true upon lodging your visa application, you have to pay the first installment which costs almost $A 3000 ? How about if you don't have any dependent, is there still a need to pay for the second installment? Please someone enlighten me about this. Thanks in advance.

Goodluck @kashichi,,, si pareng Scott din naman assessor mo dba? Hahaha! Ok na yon.. :)

Hi @gemini23.. yung first installment is $2960 to be exact. You don't need to pay the 2nd installment kung wala ka namang dependent. Kung solo ka lang, first installment lang ang babayaran mo. :)

    Tip:

    - Take IELTS first. This is the hardest requirement to pass. Its validity is 2 years unlike skills assessment that expires within a year (example ACS).

    - Skills assessment is easy. If you have sufficient work experience and confidence then you'll surely get positive assessment. Take IELTS first, and once you obtained band 7.0 across all test components then "skilled migration" is far way easy, trust me.
