    @LokiJr
Dito sa brisbane cbd, sa tabi nya may botanical gardens for walking, group excercise, soccer, jogging, etc. Yung council dito spends millions$ to develop jogging paths, kung ayaw mung mag jogging sa garden meron din floating jogging path along the river kaso nung bumaha dito tinangay ng malakas na alon yung floating path pero na approve na yung budget to build a new one next year. Meron din dedicated bridge sa mga nag-jo jogging/walking/biking to cross the river. Or if you want meron ding man made beach sa city at mga council/family pools kung gustom mu mag-swim sa mga suburbs.

    @JClem
May dedicated bike paths dito tska meron din mga bicycle hire similar sa paris as a form of public transpo. Kung ayaw mung mag-bus, you can rent a bike sa mga designated stations.

Over the counter meds are not covered.

I heard Medicare in Australia is top notch. Mukhang Japan at ilang Euro countries lang ang nakakadaig sa Healthcare ng Australia so that says a lot :D

@mimaahk, onga noh, never noticed that...parang wala pa ako nakikitang post sa forum na may picture haha

    Hi Guys,

Sobrang informative ng thread na ito. My wife and I are from Singapore and would be migrating to Melbourne in mid Jan, to try it out.

    SG Pros
    1. Malapit sa Pinas, madami budget airlines (round trip fare can go as low as 5000pesos)
    2. One of the safest place in the world
    3. mababa ang tax, effective tax rate cguro around 7%
    4. May 13th month at productivity bonus sa midyear which is around 2+ months salary

    SG Cons
    1. Mahal mga bahay, which are usually flats in high rise buildings
    2. Mahal ng kotse
    3. Di kaya ng one income family
    4. Stressful for the kids mag-aral, dahil bilingual at very competitive.

Yung take home ko sa Aus job offer slightly higher lang dun sa SG take home ko
(including the bonuses) pero mas mataas cost of living I think sa Aus.

Sir I think mas mura cost of living sa Aus.

Conclusion mas mura cost of living sa Aus, as per my 1 month experience sa Brisbane.

@Ictan1 & @tobenhood you may check this site, cost of living comparison... you may compare between cities... may not be 100% accurate but close enough to reality to give us idea, depende din kasi sa lifestyle diba... may comparison dyan ng food/groceries, transpo, rent, salaries, etc.

    http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/comparison.jsp

...pati crime rate pede din compare :) cheers!

hi mates! ask ko lang, kasi I've been to the wedding of my friend last night. "..Kelangan madami kayong anak. Kasi sa australia.. the more kids you have.. the more money you'll get. :)

napaka-informative ng forum na to, navi-visualize ko ang Australia at a glance.

About night life and bars? parang mahal yata ang gimik dyan.

    goodluck.
