    @sgmumsy - natuwa nga ako sa changes na yan eh. nagmadali pa naman ako bago mag change ng policy eh for better pala. pero ok lang din at least naka lodge na kami. anyway, dito sa brisbane, qld konti lang ang nakikita kong hiring pero sa sydney at melbourne madami.

    Hi! Question po... is it really advisable to call the employers or headhunters kapag naglagay sila ng phone numbers sa job ads similar below:

    When you call, will they conduct an initial interview na or they will just give further details about the job posting? If you express your intention through call rather than email, is the chance higher that they'll pursue your application?

    Anyone here who have experiences calling employers or headhunters?

    @JClem bro I called headhunters that's how I got my job, pero yung nangyari sakin diretso permanent hindi na yung usual na under ng recruitment agency.

    Try nyo din magsearch sa google ng mga not for profit organization especially if your in SA. I'm not sure kung meron sa ibang state. Maganda benefits especially sa tax, instead na mapunta lahat sa govt you can use it in almost everything with a max of $16,050/year.

    hi peeps, not sure kung related pa to sa topic..pero andito nako sa Australia since feb 2, 2012. Visa ko is subclass 475. Recognised din ako ng Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer (CIvil Engr) pero hindi ako makakuha ng trabaho. Prefer nila lagi is minimum 2 years local experience. Kaya medyo magulo yung saying na skill shortage for civil engineers dito. Anyway, i guess alam nadin ng lahat na restricted to regional areas lang yung Subclass 475. Fortunately, may natanggap ako Job offer as a civil engineer..kaso nga lang is sa Perth. The company mentioned na may kakilala daw sila na kaparehas ng visa ko and nakiusap na lang sa immigration since wala talaga sila makuha work sa allowed areas ng visa nila and eventually pinayagan daw sila..I hope meron dito sa forum na to na may same experience and sana totoo nga to para naman magkaroon nako ng work. mag 3 months nako walang work and paubos na budget..hope to hear from you guys.. thanks!

    Ano po ba trabaho niyo? Tutal register chemical engineer kayo baka may link naman yung ginagawa ninyo sa tinapos niyo.

    also read something like that in expatforum... same with your case...
    ginawa nya nagpaalam sya sa SA government na wala syang makuhang work...
    pinayagan naman sya na magwork sa ibang state...

    tapos parang sinabi na it is only a moral obligation to work on the sponsoring state but not a legal one... don't know if this is applicable to all, pero dun sa nabasa ko sa expatforum, SA din yung state nya... maybe SA lang nag-aalow nun maybe not, Im not sure...

    kaya paalam ka sir, wala naman mawawala... sayang naman ang work sa Perth pag pinalampas mo... good luck...

    Hi Guys, I'm a newbie in this forum. Need ko po ng advise/information regarding sa pag-apply ng visa. I'm a network operations engineer and my auntie wants me to go to Perth this year. My questions are: how to start my visa application? Do I need to go directly sa embassy or pwede online? Then, may mga exams pa po ba yun? And the payment, as in agad2x po mgbibigay ng bayad? Last, what kind of visa do I need to apply? Is it tourist or skilled sponsorship? I really dont know the process that's why I newd your inputs.

    @Osirisryver01, puwede kang isponsor ng auntie mo pero malaki-laking show money ang kailangan niya ilabas para magrant ka ng visa. So pinaka mabilis na siguro para sayo yung mag-apply ng skilled visa..check mo yung link na binigay ni lock_code...basically yung exams na kukunin mo at IELTS at Skills Assessment...tapos ihanda mo rin mga dokumento mo tulad ng transcript of record, birth certificate etc :)

    Reply to @Dugongquatro: If your college degree is from the Philippines..CDR is required by Engineers Australia for your skills assessment.. otherwise kung ang college degree mo is from countries like Canada, UK, US, Aus, NZ... iba ang assessment process..

    hello guys! bagong member lang ako dito. Just wanted to say na sobrang na-appreciate ko yung site na ito. very informative and helpful.

    Na grant ang 175 visa namin (with husband and 4 year old son) last month. Around that time ko lang din na discover ang pinoyau. Very helpful kasi dito ko nalaman na kailangan pa namin ng CFO sticker bago umalis. or else sobrang hassle sana pag nasa airport na tapos hahanapan kami ng sticker.

    Plan namin is mauuna muna ako tapos susunod ang family ko pag nakahanap na ako ng trabaho. Meron na akong ticket for July. Medyo kinakabahan ako kasi hindi ko alam kung makakahanap ako ng work agad. Tumitingin ako ngayon sa seek.au.com. Meron po pa ba kayong masa-suggest na ibang job sites or headhunters na pwede kong i-check? Susubukan ko kasing mag-submit na ng resume baka sakaling makakuha ng ako ng interviews bago ako dumating. Btw, @sgmumsy and @diwata, I'm also an sap abap programmer.

    Salamat! Looks like malapit ka na rin may CO na kayo. :) Ang bilis ng process nyo. Sa amin took almost 8 months. Pero paper application naman kasi kami. Didn't know na pwede na pa lang mag online application (or lately lang ba pwede ito? ) Anyways, correction pala. Na-assign kami ng case officer April 13. Na submit namin additional docs (health exam, ITRs, NBI) May 3. In less than a week, lumabas na visa grant namin. (May 10) :)

    yup oo nga eh, di namin inexpect na ganito kabilis. hehehe magpapamedicals na kami sa sat tapos ung sa nbi bka sa monday kmi pumunta, ayusin ko lang lahat ng e-nbi registration. sumabay kase sa work, sobrang critical phase pa naman ng project hehehe abap ka pala, sap din ako pero netweaver pi :-) balitaan mo ako pag may work ka na, di tayo nagkakalayo ng field hahaha :-)

    Mga kaibigan, bago po ako sa forum na ito, at napansin ko naman na matulungin ang mga kababayan natin dito. Magtatanong lang po muna sana ako...

    a. Kung gagamit po ng agent sa pag-assist for 175 visa, magkano po ba aabutin? Ang alam ko, mga AUD7K+ ang gastos for the visa application itself, so malaking halaga na yun. Magkano din kaya pag may agent na?

    b. May nababasa po akong kailangan pang i-certify ang work mode. Ako po ay taga DLSU, at CPA po ako. Third party po ba ang magbibigay ng assessment sa work experience ko at school?

    Marami pa po akong tanong pero ito na lang muna. :)

    @elyvedder - welcome to PinoyAu...

    To answer your questions briefly:
    a. DIAC visa application is 3kAUD, but there are other costs like skill assessment, IELTS, medical and police clearance.. so in total it would be approximately 5-6kAUD.. a migration agent will cost an additional 3-5kAUD.

    b.Yes, skills/educational qualifications must be assessed by the recognized body.. (EA- for Engineers, ACS- for IT...etc)..

    There is a separate thread/discussion for this for CPA/Accountants. Please check.
