    Hi @annie23, congrats sa offer. $74k should be enough for a family of three...magtagal pa kayo ng ilang taon entitled na rin kayo sa mga Centrelink benefits tulad ng child allowance :)

    thanks sa replies! most of the info na nabasa ko kasi from other websites, need daw at least $80k for a family of 3 in order to survive in sydney. nagworry tuloy ako, baka mamulubi kami dun pag ganun. hehe. siguro depende na lang sa lifestyle no, kami naman po ay kayang mag tiis tiis muna sa simula. :D

    @aldousnow Maraming salamat po sir for the reply. :) Does this mean that for now, my only option is a student visa? Dahil kailangan ko pa magkaroon ng 3/4 years experience?
    Tapos pag student visa po ba, kahit yung mga 6month-long IT-related course ang kunin ko ay makakahanap na po ako ng work and possibly apply for a work visa. Since pwede daw po mag intern while studying sabi ng agencies. Parang medyo matagal pa po kasi kung hihintayin ko pa yung 4years work exp.

    Try checking www.aurec.com.au they post some employer sponsored IT jobs, otherwise, search in www.seeek.com.au the job post will tell you if they provide sponsorship or not.

    Hi everyone, just got my Visa approved- I plan on working in Melbourne. Pagdating ko dun around 2 years experience pa lang ako in IT. Mahihirapan ba ako kumuha ng job? balak ko sana is part-time muna until i get a full-time job. Nagtingin naman ako sa seek.com.au parang marami naman sa field ko (IT) or engineering. Any advice? :D

    @adrielli congrats on the visa. Andaming thread sa forum tungkol sa job hunting pero common rule of thumb yung maghanap at magschedule ng interviews habang nasa Pinas pa...that way, mas sigurado kang may trabaho ka pagdating mo dun.

    May visa ka naman so I'm sure the employers would give you a shot :)

    @LokiJr, unfortunately, medyo mahirap talaga pag wala pa sa Australia. Naeexperience ko na sya ngayon. Yun din kasi akala ko dati na basta may visa ka na sa resume or cover letter, madali na makahanap. Swerte talaga yung mga nagkaka-job offer na wala pa sa AU. :(

    @adrielli, IT ka naman e, magpadala ka lang ng maraming resume...then pag may sumagot, magpa schedule ka muna ng skype interview. Kung gusto ka nila pumunta personally madali na lang yan kasi may visa ka na e

    @JClem yung ininterview ko nun sa isang company.. natanong ko din yan kung nag eentertain ba sila kahit na wala pa dito sa au pero may au visa na. sabi sakin nung boss, hindi daw, kasi iba daw pag personal interview, nakikilatis daw nila yung personality kahit papano pag sa personal unlike pag sa skype daw mahirap. pag personal daw nakikilatis nila personality at skills. pero pag sa skype, yung skillset lang daw talaga nakikita nila. tsaka kinuwentuhan pa ko na dati daw may ininterview sila sa skype, tapos job offer na.. ok na lahat.. kaso hindi daw natuloy yung pagpunta ng au. ayun, kaya medyo nadisappoint daw sila kasi back to zero nanaman daw yung paghahanap nila nun.
    Nashare ko lang to, pero i'm not saying naman na lahat ng company ganito.

    May point din naman kaya yung ibang companies talaga gusto nila in person. Another reason din is if urgent yung need nila to fill in the position or yung client ng recruiter preferred talaga na in person mainterview yung candidate. Thanks @aldousnow! :)

    Yeah, usually hindi taalaga sila nakikipag communicate sa email. Tumatawag sila sa mobile and home phone. Tapos initial interview then face to face. Sa umpisa lang nakakakaba, after nun hindi ka na kakabahan. Haha. Madali naman sila kausap.

    @aldousnow, ang iniisip ko kasi kung may visa ka na, maghanap ka online ng trabaho habang sa Pinas tapos kung may mga employers na kumagat sa application mo, negotiate with them for the interview date...tapos dun kayo kumuha ng ticket papunta dun. At least may leads na kayo by then hehe.

    But I agree, you can't really assess a person thru Skype hehe :D

    sana po may magshare ng nakahanap ng work kahit andito pa sa pinas. :) Balak ko po kasi sa December pa pumunta ng AU, daan muna ako ng Sydney to visit my relatives then saka punta ng Perth.

    Kung mahirap po kumuha ng work habang andito pa pinas ibig sabihin mas mahirap po yung sasabihin niyo sa employer na December pa kayo available? tama po ba?! waaaaaah...

    Hindi talaga natatapos sa visa grant ang lahat! hehehe.. =)

    newbie here. just want to ask about the timeline. Right now we are preparing the requirements for our credential assessment. We wanted to lodge separate applications. Ako as a Computer Programmer and my wife as Dentist. Whichever comes first will be our next concentration. My question is, after we get the assessment and IELTS results, God's will sana favorable. Ano po ang susunod na step? Where to lodge our application? Thru Skilled Select po ba lahat ng applications if we are after for Skilled Migration?

    Please give us advice and further insights.

    yes. tama po.. for skilled migration, after skills assessment and ielts:

    1. you will have to lodge your EOI (expression of interest) sa skillselect..
    2. for State Sponsorship (for visa 190) you can either wait to be selected, you apply directly to the state for sponsorship (they normally need your EOI reference number)
    3. then you have to wait for the selection..
    4. once selected in skillselect, you will proceed with your visa application..

    kung meron naman kayong employer na, then that's a different process..

    lodging EOI is free..
    you will only pay once selected for visa application...
    fee is approx 3000AUD.. mode of payment is either credit/debit card. (i have not read of any other ways, if there are any)
